A Lot To Be Thankful For This Year

Thanksgiving is a time when we should all take inventory on the great things we have in our lives! In this special Thanksgiving blog I am going to reflect on 5 amazing things that happened in 2022, that I am thankful for! I highly recommend you all take a little time this Thanksgiving to sketch out some of the amazing highlights of your year so far! Journaling can be very theraputic!

2022 Started With An Amazing Holiday Party at Peak- Our 2022 Holiday party was a great way to kickoff the year! Qdoba provided an amazing catering experience, the awards ceremony was a blast, we played some fun mini games, and danced our faces off! Can’t wait to do it all over again this year!

Peak Pulled Together To Help a Friend In Need- Former Peak employee, Billy, got some bad health news in early 2022. As a result Billy racked up some major health billls. In an effort to help Billy tackle some of his bills Peak put together a fundraiser which ended up raising over $1200.

Watching Billys excitement as I handed him the check is something I will remember the rest of my life! This amazing moment was made possible by the great community at Peak! You all rock!!

Leah And I Had An Amazing Summer Vacation- Leah and I decided to drive a lap around Lake Michigan for our summer vacation in 2022!

We made stops in Holland, Traverse City, Mackinac Island, Escanaba, and Green Bay! Driving over the Mackinac Bridge was a terrifying, yet fun experience and overall it was a relaxing week away.

A 56 Mile Weekend Hike- In late September my brother Dan, my nephew Sawyer, and I walked from Waukesha to Cottage Grove on the Glacial Drumline Trail. We suffered through rain, sore feet and fatigue, but I think we would all do it again in a heartbeat.

I Caught My First Muskie- In early October I went out on a mission to catch my first muskie. With the guidance of my long time friend and muskie fishing guide, Jon Voight, I was able to succeed in the mission. The fish hit 20 feet from the boat, which meant I got to feel its power! What a moment! Thanks for putting me on a muskie Jon!

This Thanksgiving, I am so grateful to have such fun memories to reflect on from 2022. Thanks to everyone who helped make the year so exciting! Can’t wait to make more great memories in 2023!
